Blue Ridge Parkway

Named “America’s Favorite Drive,” the Blue Ridge Parkway is designed as a slow paced and relaxing trip, revealing the natural and cultural history of the southern mountains. Split-rail fences, old farmsteads, mountain meadows and scenic overlooks with endless vistas stretch from the Great Smoky Mountains National Park to Shenandoah National Park in Virginia.

The Parkway incorporates numerous campgrounds, picnic areas and trails. Lodges and restaurants can be found along the Parkway and most are open from late April through the fall color season.
